Fake is free to enter and is open to everybody and anybody. Simply download the form, follow the guidelines and send us your preview copy.

We receive many more entries than we are able to screen so first you’ll have to get past our selection committee. Our criteria for selection is mainly if we like it or not (We are not biased towards high end production values even though they’re cool.) While we’d love to be able to offer constructive criticism on why we’ve rejected a film, Fake is run for no money by people with too little time and in most cases it might be that we simply have too many entries.

Feel free to enter more than once, we have screened multiple films from the same person in the past.

Fake is also open to animations or motion design.

While we prefer recently completed films, we have screened older films, particularly if they haven’t had too much exposure in Adelaide. We don’t insist upon Fake being the premiere screening for your film but it’s nice when that happens.

In order to be eligible for the “Fakest Of Them All Award” you have to be at the screening in Adelaide but if you can’t make it we’ll still screen your film if selected.

You can submit trailers for films in development or works in progress but they will be judged along with stand alone films.

Fake isn’t only for comedies. We welcome all genres.
