Guidelines

Fake is after films in three categories, Fake Ads, Fake Docos or Fake trailers The deadline for entry is Friday 16th of January 2009.

The Rules

All films should be around 3-5 minutes in length.

All genres are welcome.

The filmmakers will be responsible for meeting standard copyright and ownership laws and will provide, if asked, proof of licensing for music, product placement and/or chain of title.

The entrants signature declares that the information provided is correct and all rights and chain of title issues have been adhered to. It also acknowledges that the entrant will abide by the guidelines of the festival.

In order to be eligible for the FAKEST OF THEM ALL title a representative of your film must attend the screening at the 2009 Adelaide Film Festival.

All notification will occur via email unless unavailable to the entrant.

Signing your agreement to participate in the online screening part of FAKE means that your film will be available for podcasting or online viewing purposes.

Preview copy preferred formats are vhs, dvd or miniDV. Pal Digibeta, DV Cam and Mini DV are our preferred Screening copy formats but we can work with many others. Fake would also prefer ID Boards and Countdowns at the head followed by 10 seconds of black at the tail on screening copies to aid the creation of a screening master tape.

Make sure you sign the sections on the Fake Entry Form if you are happy for us to include your film (if selected) in a possible touring showcase of Fake, or to be a part of Fake’s online content.
